Choosing a US size mattress made here in the UK shouldn’t mean compromising on quality. Many American-sized mattresses available here are imported foam builds or one-sided. Ours aren’t. Every US size mattress we make, from Queen to California King, is handcrafted to order in our Yorkshire workshop using traditional pocket springs and breathable natural fillings such as wool, cotton, cashmere and horsehair. They have fillings on both sides so they are turnable, and built to last for years, not just a season. You get the proportions your bed requires, with the craft, comfort and longevity you’d expect from a British maker who does things properly.
We are extremely confident in the quality of components and workmanship that go into everything we make and we are therefore happy to provide a 10 year guarantee on all our mattresses, divan beds and headboards.

Yes. We regularly craft California King mattresses in our Yorkshire workshop. All are made to order using pocket springs and natural fillings.
No. Every mattress is handmade in the UK. We do not import finished mattresses, instead we build them here to your exact size.

If you’ve imported a bed from America, you’ve probably noticed the measurements don’t quite match British sizing. A US Queen (60 × 80 inches / 152 × 203cm) sits somewhere between a UK King and Super King, both wider and longer than a standard UK King. A US King (76 × 80 inches / 193 × 203cm) is much wider than a UK Super King. And the California King (72 × 84 inches / 183 × 213cm) trades a little width for extra length, making it one of the longest standard mattress sizes available. That difference in dimensions is exactly why we make US mattresses to order here in Yorkshire built to fit properly, not “almost”.
